This review has been a long time coming, but I have to share my amazing experience with Jackie. I've always been nervous about letting ANYONE do my makeup. My first professional makeup experience was for prom, and it was honestly a disaster. Even though I gave inspiration and instructions, the result was nothing like I had envisioned. Growing up, I rarely saw makeup done well on Asian features, especially monolids, by professionals who weren't Asian. Most of the time, it seemed easier to just do my own makeup, and that's what I ended up doing for years. I had pretty much convinced myself that no makeup artist would truly understand my features or make me feel beautiful on my special days.

 

Before my wedding, I tried another makeup artist for a trial, hoping for a better experience, but I was disappointed again. I felt like I would never find someone who could enhance Asian features naturally and flattering. That experience shook my confidence and made me question if my features were the problem.

 

Everything changed when I connected with Jackie. My close friend had her hair and makeup done by Jackie for her wedding in 2022, and was raving about her. She also told me years ago that feeling beautiful on your wedding day is so important, and it's worth investing in someone who really knows their craft and takes the time to understand you. I never forgot that advice, and I had been a fan of Jackie ever since. At first, I reached out to Jackie but decided to explore other options due to budget. After being disappointed by another artist and feeling defeated, I took a leap of faith and reached out to Jackie again. She was so gracious to take me in last minute, and from the start, she was welcoming, professional, and made the whole process feel easy and organized. Her application process was thorough and helped me feel confident in her skills. We didn't do a trial, which made me nervous, but Jackie guided me through every step and really listened to what parts of my face I wanted to highlight. She focused on enhancing my features rather than hiding them.

 

When I saw the final result, I literally broke down in tears. The makeup and hair were exactly what I had envisioned, and on my wedding day, everything stayed perfectly in place despite all the happy tears. Jackie's work made me feel beautiful and her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients are incredible. Jackie has a beautiful soul and genuinely cares about making you feel confident and celebrated. The investment in her services was COMPLETELY worth it, and I have zero regrets. Thanks to her, I felt like my most beautiful and authentic self on my wedding day. She is absolutely extraordinary, and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Jackie!
